In the Picola League, there will be three home games.
And in Murray League, Finley will be just across the river in Cobram.
The Picola action includes a local derby between Blighty Redeyes and the Jerilderie Demons, which will be held at the Blighty Recreation Reserve.
Berrigan will host Picola, and Tocumwal will host Yarroweyah.
The stage is set for a cracking year of competition, with all clubs raring to get back out on the track for what will hopefully be a long and full season.
On the football side of things, it will be a fascinating race for the premiership, with a number of clubs looking like they could hoist the trophy come season’s end.
Strathmerton has strengthened an already dominant line-up and will be flag favourite.
The Bulldogs are boasting a similar team to the one that went 13-1 last season and as reigning premiers from 2019, will be the team to beat.
Tocumwal is a side on the up and is said to be in the best position it has been in for years, with some saying the current feeling at training is similar to 2009 when it won the premiership in Murray Football League.
At Katamatite, the Tigers are almost certain to be in the premiership conversation this year, with coach Jedd Wright at the helm of a strong side.
Like football, Strathmerton looks to be in a strong position to take out the netball premiership and is reigning premier from 2019.
Waaia will also be up there again this year, looking to improve on its fifth-placed finish last season.
While Katunga will be putting its best foot forward to replicate last year’s season where it finished on top of the ladder.
In the Murray League, the question on everyone’s lips is can anyone beat Tongala?
After romping their way through the 2021 home and away season with a perfect 13-0 record, COVID-19 denied the Blues a chance to atone for their defeat in the 2019 decider and claim that elusive maiden Murray league crown.
But with star recruits Brock McLean and Ryan Nyhuis on board for 2022, Tongala presents as even more of a force than last year.
But football isn’t a game played on paper, with a worthy list of contenders set to clip at the Blues’ heels.
Mulwala has stocked up on its quality list and is ready to strike.
After consolidating on its rapid rise up the ladder in 2019, Congupna has an opportunity to stamp itself as a force with a young group ready to take the next step, while Rumbalara will without doubt thrill crowds with its exciting game plan and attacking flair.
Numurkah will be excited to roll out its new-look squad, with the addition of Jamason Daniels, Charlie Hill and Morrie Serra — and the return of Braydon Sutton — sure to shoot the Blues back towards finals contention.
And then there is five-time reigning premier Nathalia, which won’t be giving up its crown without a fight.
On the court the competition will be as tight as ever, with a number of teams capable of pushing for premiership glory.
Nathalia rocketed up the table last year and, with Emma McDonald back at the helm, the Purples look primed towards another premiership tilt.
Perennial powerhouse Rumbalara and an ultra-talented Deniliquin squad will once again be among the contenders, while 2019 premier Echuca United will be hoping to bounce back from an indifferent campaign last year.
