LBU faced off against Mount Pleasant on Saturday in a clash of two previously unbeaten teams, topping the Mounts by 31 points.
Scores were level at quarter time before the Cats were slowly able to pull away to win 17.16 (118) to 13.9 (87).
Ben Fulford kicked four goals for LBU, with Anthony McMahon and Rhys Woodland each booting three.
Jesse Collins, Lachlan Atherton, Tyler Phillips and Jeremy Mundie were some of the best for LBU on Saturday. Ben Weightman kicked five goals for Mount Pleasant.
The win extends LBU’s winning streak to 17 games, an unbeaten run that includes an unbeaten season in 2021.
Colbinabbin, meanwhile, has moved into top spot on the ladder after a huge 168-point win over Leitchville Gunbower.
Jed Brain led the way for the Hoppers, booting seven goals in his side’s 29.18 (192) to 3.6 (24) win.
James Brain kicked five goals for Colbo, while Luke Moore and Stephen Tuohey added three goals each.
It was an attacking masterclass from Colbinabbin, as the Hoppers booted the highest score across the league this season.
The winning margin of 168 was also the biggest win in the Heathcote District League so far in 2022.
Colbo’s Thomas Hill marked a special milestone on Saturday as well, playing in his 200th game for the club.
