Wednesday's ladies stroke event sponsored by PA & JL Scott saw a good field play in the lead up to the championships starting this week.
Mary Polkinghorne was the winner with 89/19/70, with ball winners Enid Bain 94/22/72, Margot Robertson 92/15/77 and Sharon Pyle 93/15/78, Sharon also collected the putting ball with 27 putts.
In the men’s Stableford competition, Bill O'Connell was the victor on a countback with 33 points.
Ball winners were James Braybon, the other half of the countback on 33 points, and Barry Wilson with 31.
Thursday's nine hole comp was played on the back nine.
Winner was Ian Swain on 19 points, on a three way countback.
Ball winners were Steve McRae and Bo Makkinga, also with 19 points.
Friday's meat tray was played after several failed attempts, with winner Marty Piggin collecting with 36 points. Ball winner was John Taylor 35 points.
Saturday's Stablefored sponsored by Barooga Sports Club saw a small field play, due to several members representing Finley at Berrigan in the Mixed Open/Wilson's Cup.
Men's winner was Douglas Smith 33 points, and winning in the ladies was Enid Bain with 31.
Ball winners were Helen Wastle on 31 and John Taylor on 30, John also collected the NTP on the 18th. Trish Jackson collected the ladies NTP on the 13th.
With a few men playing in the Men's Open at Berrigan, it was a slightly larger field that played in the men's and ladies stroke event sponsored by Barooga Sports Club.
Karen Litchfield led the way for the women with a very nice 116/47/69.
Ball winners were Enid Bain with 97/22/75 and Sharon Pyle with 92/16/76.
Helen Wastle won the putting with 25 putts.
In the men's, Robert Klemke won on a countback with 90/17/73.
Ball winners were Peter Wood with 93/20/73, and Leo McNamara with 91/16/75.
NTP on the 18th went to Robert Daniel, and Pro Pin on the 3rd jackpotted.
Berrigan
Friday's winner was Neil Grahm (47-12.5-34.5), runner up was (45-10-35), and Peter Shand won the putting with 12 putts.
Saturday was the Open Mixed Championships.
The winning pair for the day were Jeff Stein and Edwina Morgan with 44 points.
Runner up was Judy and Joe Karakai with 41 points, and ball winners were Norm and Sharon Pyle and Luke Keating and Vene Mitchell, each with 41.
NTP for the ladies was won by Judy Karakai, and the men's winner was Vene Mitchellk.
The scores for the Wilson's Cup are: Finley 236, Jerilderie 230 and Berrigan 227.
There is one round to be played in Jerilderie. A date will be advised when known.
Sunday was the Open Men’s Championship, and the A grade scratch winner was Ian Swaine on 78. Runner up was Chris Cameron on 79.
A grade handicap winner was Grant Wilson 72, and runner up was Nick Manley 74.
B grade scratch winner was Doug Cameron on 87, and runner up was David Kerr with 92.
B grade handicap winner was Billy Smith on 72, and runner up was Jeff Stein on 74.
In C grade, scratch winner was Rohan Lacey on 93, and runner up was David Sandquest on 97.
Handicap winner was Henry Lacey on 67, and runner up was John Strelec on 70.
NTPs went to Matt Whelan, Jason Pyle and Rand Wilson.
Ball winners were Dane Midson, Alan Arnold, Jason Pyle and Matt Whelan.

In the Ladies Singles Knockout semi final, Helen Crilly defeated Michelle Purtill 2/1 and Shellei Clark defeated Libby Quick 4/2.
