Jason Wakefield (84-13-71) and Kevin Humbert (82-11-71) were runners-up in A-grade. Steve Holt (82-15-67) was the dominant winner of B-grade, with Ian Haines (88-16-72) the distant runner-up.
Bamawm visitor Jo Holloway won C-grade with a respectable 96-26-70 and did some handicap damage at the same time. Tom Scurrah (99-25-74) was the runner-up in a three-way countback from JD Wright and Graeme Hodgens.

The Echuca CIH eagles’ nest on the 3rd wasn’t won and neither was Captain Bricka’s yardstick on the 16th.
The women played a stableford round on Friday, with Jenny Holt continuing her good form with another win. Her score of 28 points was best on course, with Pauline Humbert runner-up with 27. Jenny also won the nearest the pin to cap off a good day.

Rochester
As the scores started to come in, Chris Eeles looked the likely winner, as he had the closest to the pins on 9, 16 and closest to the line on 10; however, Ian Pollard, on the back of his beloved Cats, stormed home to have his best score for many months.
Pollard's 92 net 67 easily won the monthly medal from the unlucky Eeles on net 70, Robert Vise continued his good form to finish third on net 71.
Graeme Willis, Ross Lees (71) and Jake Wright (72) were all ball winners. Saturday's game was also the singles matchplay qualifying event. Pollard will now play Shane Bywaters, Eeles v Bruce Bryant, Willis v Darren Wright and Ross Lees v Wright. Bryant won a ball for his second shot on 3, Tim Quinlan had the best score off the short white course, net 73.
Next Saturday's par event is the club's qualifying fourball matchplay championship, top eight pairs going into the next round.
Last Wednesday organiser Richard Feuk shuffled the cards for a mystery draw after the stableford round to see who would be the lucky pairing.
Yes, you guessed it, even after an independent and second drawing, Feuk (20) and Laurie Jackel (18) with a total of 38 points were the winners from the unlucky pairing of Bruce Bryant (16) and Leigh Hicks (21), total of 37, and visitor Graeme Chappel was nearest the pin on 3.
A reminder of the club's annual tournament starting on Thursday, May 26, with the Ladies fourball; Friday, May 27, is the Men's 4 ball; Saturday will see the popular three-person ambrose (any combination) and on Sunday, May 28, the Men's 27 holes and 18 holes championships will be decided.
The course will be in excellent condition for the tournament thanks to the dedicated work put in by the course committee, with some fairways mowed twice over the week due to the strong grass growth.

A small but quality field competed in a par event on Sunday. Winner of the day with a +3 was Graham Pawley, on a countback from Geoff Crossman.
