The third game against each other this season, Deniliquin saw some key players return from the beginning of the season, which gave them a competitive edge against the home side.
Within 10 minutes, goals from Will King and Christian Ellis put Deniliquin ahead, with the defence holding up well and no attacking threat from Moama within the box.
A small lack of concentration allowed the Raiders to score from outside the box before half-time and meant that at the break, Deniliquin was up 2-1.
The second half was a lot tighter, but still, the Wanderers defence held, with very genuine chances inside the box from Moama.
Another Moama shot from outside the box, which deflected off a Wanderers player, made it 2-2 with about 35 minutes to go.

The attacking line led by Masen Brain and Hamish Baker posed constant threat, with Baker hitting the post having beat the keeper.
Finally, with 15 minutes left to go, Baker got in front of goal again and managed to score.
A final effort from defender Mark Plant to kick a ball off the line and a great game from keeper Matt Crothers saw the game out.
Winning the game 3-2, the Wanderers were glad to have their side come back from a long break with a solid game.
Players’ player was awarded to Hamish Baker.
The Wanderers will be playing next against Colts United FC at Rotary Park this Saturday, with kick off from 2pm.
Jack Ryan and Brad Scroop contest the header.
