Switched on, they went on the attack from the opening ruck, shifting the ball efficiently into the forward 50.
Harry Webb and Eli Bonnitcha were dominating in space and Leo Davis was making a menace of himself in behind the Wodonga back men.
Two early behinds were followed by goals to Cooper Patten and Ollie Mathews and the boys carried a sixteen-point advantage into the break.
Wodonga responded in the second quarter, putting pressure on the Roos’ defence. Abe Spencer, Josh Hunter and Will Forrest started to make an impact, attacking the ball and stopping Wodonga's momentum.
Aiden Wintle and Hudson Bilney were strong at the back, during that Wodonga were not able to hot the scoreboard.
Coach Patto could see he had a team that was up for the contest and asked the boys to maintain their enthusiasm.
Will Massey's ruck dominance from the first half continued through the second allowing Tyson Johnston to move the ball into the forward pocket and Josh Parker to take over the game. Nate Fenn, Cooper Gerhard and Nate Kuschert took their opportunities against a reeling Bulldogs outfit.
A goal to Josh Parker extended the margin and sparked the Bulldogs into action. Despite a valiant effort from Jayke O'Malley and Hudson Kuschert, Wodonga were able to kick a goal just before the end of the quarter.
Despite their lead, the boys knew they had to finish this game off. Another strong start to the quarter allowed them to pressure and hold the Wodonga defence inside their own half.
Lachie Douglas and Jake Witherden were strong on the wings, providing width as the ball moved forward and Hudson Kuschert was dominant in behind the attack, ensuring the ball stated on the attacking end.
Levi Arnold, Aiden Ratcliffe and Charlie Kay were providing a good contest up front and Charlie Hall was his usual efficient self. A cheeky (and massively impressive) dribbled banana kick from Josh Parker snuck along the boundary line and through for a match-sealing goal.
Final scores: Corowa (4.9.33) def. Wodonga (1.0.6)
