Veteran Charlotte Caslick has joined Demi Hayes as co-captain of the Australian women's sevens rugby team ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

Hayes, 23, took on the skipper's role after her maiden Olympics in Tokyo last year while Caslick made her debut for Australia in 2013, earning 37 caps.
Hayes said she was looking forward to sharing the responsibility for the remainder of the world series and the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, which starts in late July.
"I've really enjoyed my time leading the team post-Tokyo, but I'm looking forward to sharing the responsibilities of the captaincy with Charlotte," Hayes said.
"To have the leadership support and experience of Charlotte by my side is really nice."
Caslick said she was excited by the new opportunity after 10 years with the team.
"To play for your country is an honour, but to have the added responsibilities of captaincy is something which I will cherish and a role I won't take for granted," the 26-year-old said.
"Having been involved in the program for close to 10 years, I hope to bring my experiences as a player to this role and provide an extra level of experience as we continue to build towards both the world series and Commonwealth Games."
