On return from his foot injury, Moses had his fingerprints all over the defeat of Wests Tigers that lifted the Eels from the bottom of the ladder before their first bye.
But that was only the latest example of what the 30-year-old does for Parramatta.
Since the beginning of the 2023 season, the Eels have won 14 of 28 games with Moses playing compared to only seven of 27 when he has been absent.
The increase from 25.9 to 50 per cent marks an almost 100 per cent uptick in form across a difficult two-and-a-bit seasons.
Moses' influence on the results has been greater in that time than star fullback Trbojevic's influence on Manly.
Often cited for his capacity to reinvigorate the Sea Eagles, Trbjoevic has helped Manly win 60 per cent of his NRL games since 2023, a 73 per cent rise compared to the 34.7 per cent of games won without him.
Without Cleary, four-time reigning premiers Penrith have won 65 per cent of games since 2023 compared to 71.4 per cent when he plays.
Latrell Mitchell, meanwhile, has hoisted South Sydney from winners 28 per cent to 51.6 per cent of the time in that window - an impressive 84.3 per cent rise, but still not as sharp as Moses' influence.
Teammates have noticed a difference in energy at the Eels since the return of the captain, who plays his second game of the year against Cronulla at Magic Round.
"People tend to forget how much of an influential player that Mitchy is," said prop Junior Paulo.
"Having the inclusion of Mitchy in our team lifts the confidence of a few boys."
Welcoming Moses onto the park has been reassuring for rookie hooker Ryley Smith.
"He's a very experienced player," the 22-year-old said.
"He lifts any team that he goes into. It's great to have him back.
"I'm still a fan of his and a fan of a lot of the boys. Passing the ball to him is pretty cool."
The Eels will be a year into a new era when they take the field at Magic Round, with last year's big loss at the footy festival proving the final straw for Brad Arthur.
Parramatta fired their long-term coach only a day after the hefty defeat to Melbourne, which consigned them to a 3-6 record to begin the campaign.
Since then, the 16th-placed Eels have been left to begin a rebuild under interim boss Trent Barrett and now rookie coach Jason Ryles.
Former co-captain Paulo did not want to compare the Eels side that left Magic Round in 2024 to the one that returns this weekend.
"I think it's unfair to compare the two, but the direction we're heading in right now is certainly exactly where we want to be," Paulo said.
"It's not going to change overnight for us, we know that as a team.Â
"You've got to be able to take it week to week but we're certainly stepping in the right direction."
