Police are appealing for information from the public after a man suffering a gunshot  wound presented at hospital in Sydney's southwest.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were called at 1.20am on Saturday after a man had presented to Liverpool Hospital.
The patient, believed to be a man aged in his 30s,died a short time later. He is yet to be formally identified.
Detectives from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad are investigating.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Liverpool Police or Crime Stoppers.
