Former local Lauren Wallace (pictured) has graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Medicine degree.She has now secured a job working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, specialising in emergency and trauma patients.Lauren, 27, started the intensive medical course in 2016 and graduated last month.She has been quite busy with her studies since completing high school, earning a Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence through studies at the University of Queensland in Brisbane in 2015.It was there that she completed a combined degree — a Bachelor of Science, majoring in biomedical science, and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in extended psychology. She is the daughter of Vicki Wallace (nee Buchanan) and was born in Deniliquin before moving to Queensland in 1995.Lauren is the granddaughter of Bob and Anita Buchanan of Deniliquin.
