Murray Mallee Training Company apprenticeship and traineeship consultant Susie Stafford said this is great news for locals wanting to further their education with a hands on approach.

“With the current economic climate, this can be really beneficial for employers and employees,” she said.

“It creates an opportunity to learn on and off the job without the usual financial stress.

“Employers and/or the employee have been required to pay up to $2000 to registered training organisations, an out of pocket expense that is now being partially or fully covered by the government as of January 1.”

With more than 20 years of experience under her belt, Mrs Stafford can help employees and employers access these benefits and assist with other training needs.

“What Murray Mallee Training Company does is employ apprentices and trainees on behalf of their employer, acting as their legal employer,” Mrs Stafford said.
