Local business defrauded of $390,000

She is expected to appear in Deniliquin Court this July, charged with dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.

The money was reportedly obtained from a Deniliquin licensed premises between mid-2017 and June 2019.

Van park break-in

Police are reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to identify the person who stole cigarettes from a Picnic Point caravan park on Sunday.

Police said the flyscreen on a door was slashed, and a door to the caravan park’s office was forced open to gain entry to the office and canteen area.

Police said footage shows a single person in the office between 6.14pm and 6.30pm on Sunday.

Direction breached

A 33 year-old Deniliquin woman has been fined for breaching a noise abatement direction which was put in place by police only days earlier.

Police were called to a Wood St home about 2am on May 9 on reports of ‘loud and offensive’ music coming from the rear yard.

Police said the ‘noise’ was heard clearly when they arrived at the home.

The woman was issued a 28 day noise abatement direction when police were called to break-up a reported party at the same Wood St home on May 5.
