On behalf of the Deniliquin RSL Sub-branch president and members, I would like to pass on a huge thank you to the Deniliquin community for such a great turnout at our Anzac Day services.
The feeling of support for the veterans in the community has been well received and much appreciated.
I would also like to pass on our gratitude to local businesses and individuals who assisted the sub-branch in hosting these services.
Ken Perrin and Nudge Young in renovating the flag poles at the cemetery and cenotaph, Lynda Danckert with help in assisting with the veterans dinner, Nigel Wettenhall for his fly over and providing a WW2 jeep, Kim Thomas and The Depot in providing jeeps for the services, Deniliquin Party Hire for providing seating, Deni Car Club for supplying chairs and, lastly, the Edward River Council for their ongoing support.
The Veterans Golf Day was also a great success and enjoyed by all participants, thanks to the support of the Deniliquin Golf Club and Jody Fleming who made it all possible.
