The training sessions were a huge success, thanks to the dedication, skill, and teamwork of everyone involved.
From sessions on flood recovery, grass fire tactics, road crash rescue, flood recovery, FLAIM V2 (virtual reality software), hazardous trees, mapping and pumping, safety, and mental health — every topic added incredible value and helped prepare us all for the challenges ahead.
“This was true collaboration in action and a great reflection of the strong rapport the emergency services have built across the South West,” organisers said.
“The exercise is a true example of what interoperability looks like, agencies working together, learning from one another, and building on the shared commitment to protect communities.”
Members of the NSW SES Deniliquin Conargo Unit, Deniliquin Rescue Squad - VRA Rescue and NSW RFS Mid Murray Zone’s Bullatale, Moama, Caldwell, Deniliquin, and Moulamein brigades were all represented on the day.
