The 18 year-old Central Coast Mariners star came off the bench at Qatar’s Al Janoub Stadium for Australia’s opening game against France, however a dominant performance from the reigning world champion had Kuol’s side fall 4-1.
While there was no trademark Kuol off-the-bench comeback, the young star did have a chance to score, finding himself in a perfect position at the top of the box in the dying seconds of the game, however, his teammates failed to find him.

A group of Shepparton police officers have taken on the Red Socks Run, a 60km walk or run to raise money for Kidney Health Australia and help find a cure for kidney disease.
Shepparton police supervisor Gerard Warrin set up his team, the Blue Brigade group, with fellow officer Georgia Ryan and other local officers taking part in the month-long challenge during October.
He said he was inspired to join in after learning people who underwent kidney dialysis could get cold feet. To help in the fundraiser, participants are given red socks.
Over the month, the group raised $6000.

Renowned ABC broadcaster Ian McNamara will host his Sunday morning show Australia All Over radio show in Rochester this Sunday.
Mr McNamara made a snap decision while speaking with Rochester’s Elaine Lees on his October 30 program.
Mrs Lees, a long-time fan of the show, contacted the radio host to provide an update on her community, two weeks after Campaspe River floodwaters had affected 90 per cent of the homes and businesses in the town.
Ten minutes into their live conversation Mr McNamara suggested he would like to do a “live broadcast’’ from Rochester and soon after producers of the program confirmed the date.
Rochester Sports Museum, at the Moore St railway station, will host the program from 5.30am until 10am on Sunday.

With a smile on his face and a skip in his step, Aston Wenzke-Flynn proudly handed over an envelope to Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre manager Jan Phillips containing $500 to go towards helping a flood-affected community member.
The money was part of a fundraiser the eight-year-old organised with the help of his mother, Didi Wenzke, which saw a total of $1000 raised — $500 given to MEAC and $500 to Rochester Primary School.
After seeing the devastation the floods caused across the region, it was a conversation with his mum that prompted Aston to help.
