Emergency services were called to a car fire on Loch Garry Rd on December 24 about 10am.
After the fire was extinguished, the body of a 19-year-old Wangaratta man was located inside the vehicle.
A 38-year-old Shepparton man, a 37-year-old Shepparton woman and a 24-year-old Mooroopna man have each been charged with one count of murder.
They were remanded in custody and will appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 3.
Homicide Squad detectives arrested three people on Friday, December 30, as part of the investigation.
The two men and the woman were all arrested in Shepparton.

Two dead in New Year’s Eve crashes
Two women are dead following a horror New Year’s Eve on the region’s roads, one in Kaarimba, north of Shepparton, and one outside Yarroweyah, near Cobram.
One woman died following a motorcycle crash in Kaarimba on New Year’s Eve despite emergency service workers’ best efforts to save her.
The motorcyclist was travelling south along Barmah-Shepparton Rd about 7.30pm on December 31 before she lost control of the vehicle.
Emergency services attended the crash site but were unable to save her, and she died at the scene.
A second woman died following a two-car collision in Yarroweyah, near Cobram.
Police are investigating the crash where two cars are believed to have collided on Labuan Rd, near the intersection with Fowlers and MacArthur Rds.
Emergency services attended the scene, but a female driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene.
A male driver, who was the sole occupant of the second car, was uninjured.
He is assisting police with their inquiries.

Travis Fimmel’s new murder mystery premiers
Premiering on New Year’s Day was the gripping new six-part series Black Snow — starring Echuca talent Travis Fimmel in the lead role.
With a narrative based in both 1994 and 2019, the plot follows the journey of detective James Cormack who attempts to solve a cold case after a 17-year-old girl is murdered.
The twist-filled murder mystery is set in a small North Queensland town and has deep ties to the Australian South Sea Islander community.
Fimmel leads a cast that features newcomers Talijah Blackman-Corowa, Jemmason Power, Molly Fatnowna and Eden Cassady, alongside Brooke Satchwell, Alexander England, Erik Thomson, Kym Gyngell, Rob Carlton, Jimi Bani, Daniela Farinaci and Lucy Bell.
Australian music sensation Ziggy Ramo also makes his screen debut.
Black Snow can be viewed on streaming service Stan.
Female Umpire Academy
A new pathway for females looking to get into umpiring will be up and running in 2023 with the Goulburn Murray region’s first Female Umpire Academy set to be launched.
The Goulburn Valley Football Umpires Association initiative aims to focus on the recruiting and retaining of female umpires and provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for anyone looking to get involved in the sport.
AFL Goulburn Murray director of umpiring Andrew Moore said while the ratio of female to male umpires in the GVFUA was not too bad compared to the rest of Victoria, the organisation believed it could do better.
