Art and music collide for Mathoura students

Excitement is mounting for the Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival, and not just in the twin towns.

Organisers of the event - which will be held July 24 to 27 - have provided an opportunity for schools to get involved through an interesting art project.

And Mathoura Public School principal Janice Eddy said her students jumped at the chance.

As part of their High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) Creative project, these young artists have designed and painted their own unique guitars.

“Each student has poured their creativity into crafting designs that reflect their individual styles and artistic visions,” Mrs Eddy said.

“From vibrant colours to intricate patterns, the guitars are a testament to the students' imagination and dedication.

“These remarkable creations will be proudly displayed in shopfronts throughout Echuca, allowing the community to appreciate the talent of these budding artists.

“The chance to showcase their artwork in such a prominent event not only highlights the students' skills but also fosters a sense of pride and connection within the local community.”
