Artlife opening at Peppin

A collection of more than 80 paintings by Deniliquin’s Artlife group is now open for viewing at the Peppin Heritage Centre Gallery in Deniliquin.

The exhibition was opened Thursday last week, and will close on April 13.

It is the first time the group has exhibited at the Peppin Gallery in many years, with their regular slot interrupted by COVID and Edward River Council’s funding arrangement to bring in travelling exhibitions.

Deniliquin Artlife was created in 2016 mostly made up of senior artists, with Bronwyn Bathgate taking on the mantle of tutor and leader.

In the nine years Artlife have been together, they have had many exhibitions and, in that time, have exhibited at the Alton Gallery in Echuca, the Peppin Heritage Centre Gallery, Deni Cotton Gum Gallery, and the Regional Australian Institute office in Canberra.

The Peppin Gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm and Sunday 9am to 2pm. Entry to the exhibition space is by a $3 donation.
