The meeting saw just four parents in attendance.
Deniliquin Auskick outgoing president Chris Fanning said if no volunteers or support is shown, the prospect of no Auskick is ‘‘highly likely’’ this year.
“It’s the same situation we seem to have been in every year,” he said.
“We need at least six people to officially hold a meeting so we have had to postpone it until next week.
“If we do not get the support of volunteers and parents, we will have no choice but to call off Auskick.
“I’m at a bit of a loss at the moment. We’ve done all we can to try and get people to put their hand up and I’m not quite sure what else we can do.”
Fanning said it was crucial for the local Auskick branch to have some new faces step up to the plate.
“The reality is is that the current committee have all been here for a while now,” he said.
“I'm relinquishing the role of president, so we need someone else to step up and fill that role.
“We also need to get a secretary as well as a general committee.
“The only position that has been filled is treasurer.
“We’ve had good support from both footy clubs with the use of their facilities and having senior players help out during the year, but we need that commitment from parents and other volunteers.”
Deniliquin Auskick will have another attempt to hold an AGM at the Deniliquin RSL Club at 6.30pm on Wednesday, March 11.
If the meeting does not get volunteers for the committee, Auskick will be notified and formally close Deniliquin Auskick after the meeting.
