There will be a big line-up of entertainment for locals and visitors in Mathoura during the Easter period.
Saturday’s program will begin with the traditional Mathoura Easter Fair in the Soldiers’ Memorial Gardens from 10am.
The fair will have plenty of fun, with food, stallholder bargains, a petting zoo and other attractions.
When fair activities wrap up around 2pm, patrons can amble up to the Pastoral Hotel to be entertained by popular group ‘Standing Room Only’.
Later, you can move on to the Mathoura Bowling Club and test your general knowledge with the Trivia Night for the Daniher’s Drive fundraiser.
Entry will be $25 per person and will include supper.
The club will also have live entertainment on Sunday night with a performance by ‘Me and the Girl’.

There really is no holding them back.
In what has been an outstanding effort, Mathoura’s lady bowlers have reached the finals in their Division One pennant competition.
But what makes it all the more amazing is that this is their first year of competition at the top level in the Campaspe Valley Bowls Division.
It is a credit to all who have played throughout the season and I’m sure we will all wish them well in their assault on the finals series.
Mathoura will face-off against Deniliquin Bowling Club in their semi final today.
Good luck girls!

Many hands make light work and this is particularly true when fundraising activities are being undertaken.
However, it seems Mathoura Football Netball Club was not short of willing participants when members and supporters carried out security duties at Moama’s Merool Caravan Park during the Southern 80 last weekend.
The activity is a major fundraiser for the club and it is grateful to all who took part – despite the chilly weather.
The club’s next major activity will be at the Mathoura Fishing Classic in early March so look for them there and say g’day.
