Disaster assistance is now available to residents and producers in the Berrigan Shire.
It was one of two local government areas included in the extension of funding for damage caused during a severe storm on November 9, 2021.

Assistance is being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
It was announced by NSW Minister for Agriculture Dugald Saunders in Griffith on Monday.
The disaster assistance available may include:
Help for eligible people whose homes or belongings have been damaged (eligibility criteria apply);
Recovery grants for primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations;
Support for affected local councils to help with the costs of cleaning up and restoring damaged essential public assets;
Concessional interest rate loans for small businesses, primary producers and non-profit organisations; and
Freight subsidies for primary producers.
