The estimated tally was revealed on Friday, with the auxiliary saying 250 people attended the open garden to support the fundraiser.
Member Cheryl Bradley said they were blessed with beautiful weather to enjoy the expansive and lovely gardens created by the Murrays.
Providing a lot of green spaces to explore, the gardens are also scattered with Peter’s metal sculptures.
A highlight was the life-size crocodile from the artists, who claimed a runner-up prize in this year’s Lockhart Spirit of the Land competition.
Cheryl said people enjoyed themselves so much, they almost had to resort to kicking people out because they simply did not want to leave.
In the raffle, Debbie Maver and Robyn Crossley took home the sculptures, and Jan McAllister won the prints.

MHAG monster bash
Just a friendly reminder Deniliquin’s very own Halloween party is happening this afternoon.
Starting at 3pm in the Multi Arts Centre, the event promises to be a spooktacular experience for the whole family.
There will be a range of Halloween-related activities to participate in, such as face painting, cookie decorating, spider crafts, and so much more.
Attendees will also have the chance to do some trick-or-treating with local businesses.
And for all the ghosts and ghouls who get a little hungry, a free sausage sizzle will be available.
It’s the perfect opportunity to get into the Halloween spirit and make some fond memories with your loved ones.
Duo turned solo
On Saturday evening, the South West Music Regional Conservatorium was set to host a performance by musicians Paul Young and Jonathan Clonek.
However, Paul Young’s absence due to an injury meant that Jonathan had to go on by himself.
Despite this setback, the crowd was still captivated by his exceptional violin skills and it proved to be an evening of awe-inspiring music, with the audience left thoroughly entertained and impressed.
Pick up a form
The annual preloved art sale, organised by the Edward River Art Society and Rotary Club of Deniliquin, is just around the corner.
If you have a painting you no longer want and would like to donate it to the sale, you can now pick up an entry form from the ERAS showroom on Napier St.
It’s a great opportunity to give a new life to your old paintings and support local artists.
And if you decide to enter your artwork in the sale, you can drop it off at the Multi Arts Centre on November 22 between 10am and 2pm.
For more information you can call Pam on 0458 423 871.
