This marks one of the biggest musical acts to hit the region since Elton John’s unforgettable performance in Wahgunyah back in 2020.
With a career spanning over two decades, Birds of Tokyo has solidified its position as one of Australia’s most prominent rock bands.
The concert, held on Friday, March 8, will also showcase the dynamic talents of local rock bands Empress + Aces, based in Albury/Wodonga.
Renowned for their powerful and emotive sound, Birds of Tokyo’s discography includes chart-topping hits such as “Plans,” “Lanterns,” and “I’d Go with You Anywhere.” These songs have not only dominated the airwaves but have also become anthems resonating with fans on a profound level.
Their success extends beyond the charts, with numerous ARIA Awards under their belt and a reputation for putting on electrifying live shows.
Adding to the excitement, Club Corowa is proud to team up with local mental health advocate Daniel Hateley from the Fight is Real initiative.
In support of mental health awareness, $10 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Black Dog Institute, a leading organisation dedicated to mental health research, diagnosis, and treatment.
Daniel will also be present at the event, selling exclusive merchandise to further contribute to the cause.
Club Corowa CEO Peter Norris said the club is thrilled to be hosting one of Australia’s biggest bands.
“We are excited to bring such a stellar lineup of musical talent to Club Corowa. Birds of Tokyo, along with the incredible Empress + Aces, will undoubtedly create an electric atmosphere for our patrons,” he said.
“We are also proud to partner with the Black Dog Institute and Daniel Hately from the Fight is Real initiative to support mental health awareness through this event. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together for a night of great music while contributing to a meaningful cause.”
