Drugs seized
A 53 year-old Deniliquin man has been charged with possession of cannabis after allegedly admitting to police he had the drug at his campsite.
The man had gone to Deniliquin Police Station for an unrelated matter about 11.15pm on Friday.
While at the station, police raised suspicions they had regarding drugs.
That is when police say he admitted to having illicit drugs at his campsite at Willoughby’s Beach.
Police said they found green vegetable matter and cannabis seeds inside a plastic bag at the campsite.
