The Rhinos won the toss and elected to bat against Frostick Contracting C Grade NACC.
It was a beautiful tricky wicket and short boundaries, and the Rhinos knew they had to post a significant score to be competitive.
With a change to the batting order, Shawn Arora continued his excellent form with the bat from last week and published his first half century with a well-made 50.
Chris Pyle and Jack Tonta matched Shawn’s intensity, and both retired on 50 in less than a run a ball with some lusty hitting from both batsmen.
To round out the innings, the newst Rhinso in Norman and Marshall put on a 40-run partnership.
It was the icing on the cake, which led to the Rhinos eventually finishing the innings with the score of 2/294 from 35 overs.
With plenty of runs in the bank, the Rhinos gave Jack Tonta a bowl, and he impressed with figures of 1/5 from his five overs.
The ever improving Andrew Smith showed his worth, with impressive figures of 2/15 off overs and leaving the Nathalia-based side at 3/22.
Nathalia batted out the 35 overs, eventually making 154 and making our bowlers work hard for wickets.
Wickets were shared with Stephen Marshall, Jesse Hart, Lachlan Marshal and Shawn Arora, all taking a wicket each.
Special mention to Jesse Hart for helping Nathalia out in the field and Norman for wicketkeeping.
