‘‘Every little bit counts.’’
In this case, the old adage rings true as the tally for the Navorina Nursing Home $1 million fundraiser climbs and climbs.
Chipping in last week was the Deniliquin District Veteran and Vintage Car Club, which donated $1000 thanks to the contributions of members.
Navorina business manager Skye Parks said the facility is ‘‘so grateful for this latest donation’’.
Car club member Barry Chamberlain said the contribution was for ‘‘a worthwhile cause’’, and to bring awareness to the club too.
‘‘It’s only a small amount, but it all adds up,’’ Mr Chamberlain said.
The fundraiser hit $325,000 on Friday. It comes as the community aged care facility builds momentum through its ‘Navember’ mega fundraising month.
The current expected finish date for the refurbishment of the original building into a multi-purpose space is March.
