They are among 71 community groups to receive funding in this round, and more than 300 since the program began two years ago, seeing a combined $1.3 million shared in rural and regional NSW.
Deniliquin Local Aboriginal Land Council will use its grant for the revegetation of local plants and bush food for harvesting.
Moulamein Art Gallery secretary Jill Reed said the gallery’s grant will be used to buy painting equipment and conduct an expert tutorial on painting large canvasses.
“We are a volunteer-run organisation, and we are always looking for funding to offer the community opportunities they could not otherwise access,” she said.
“We never really have the opportunity to paint large canvasses, so we are grateful to be able to purchase easels and other equipment, and fund a special tutorial by artist Graham Hearn for our community.”
Other district recipients include the Coleambally Cricket Club and the Jerilderie St Joseph’s School Fun Fair 2026.
Transgrid general manager of community and social licence Michael Johnson said the program is intended to invest in a variety of initiatives that will deliver lasting and tangible benefits for local communities.
"These not-for-profit organisations are the backbone of their communities, and we’re proud to back projects that bring real, positive change to the lives of local people.
“We are dedicated to enhancing social and economic outcomes for local communities around our network, particularly where new clean energy transmission projects are being built or planned.”
Transgrid is delivering the NSW section of VNI West, a 500kV double-circuit overhead transmission line to connect the electricity grids in NSW and Victoria, unlocking more affordable and cleaner renewable energy for millions of consumers.
The network starts near Jerilderie and continues through to near Swan Hill, where it will connect with the Victorian network.
Applications for Round 2 of the 2025 Community Partnerships Program will open on Monday, September 29.
