Hugh Sutton and Latitia Oliver outside their new home, built in Deniliquin by Denbrok Constructions Hotondo Homes.
Hugh Sutton and Latitia Oliver had been living in Deniliquin for three years when they decided this is where they would put down roots and enter the real estate market.

When they landed on building a new home, they contacted many of the well known builders within the region.
Happily though, their journey coincided with local builder Troy Denbrok’s decision to open a Hotondo Homes branch right here in his home town.
And the couple say it was one of the best decisions they ever made.
“We spoke to a few of the other building companies, but they would all have to travel to Deniliquin to do the work,” Hugh said.
“We then spoke to Troy, who had a very good reputation around town.
“We locked in Hotondo in September last year, and our land titled in the November.
“After planning and contracts, building got underway in April. And after seven months we were able to move into our new home.
“We are really happy with it. Dealing with Hotondo has been really good; we’ve had very few problems, and Troy is a good communicator.
“And because they are local, we could pop into the office to choose our tiles, colours, or if we had any questions.”
Hugh and Latitia’s home is the first to have been completed by the Denbrok Constructions Hotondo Homes branch in Deniliquin, which made their handover just that much more special.
And Troy says more happy new home owners will follow in the new year.
“We are really happy with how Hugh and Latitia’s home turned out,” he said.
“They were not the first locals to reach out to us about a build, but theirs was the first to reach contract stage and get started.
“Their home is part of our acreage range, which is very popular in Deniliquin because of the size of our blocks.
“We have another five new starts in Deniliquin in the new year, and one for Moama.”
Hugh and Latitia built the Lansdowne 248 floor plan on a nice block in east Deniliquin.
