Sympathy is extended to long term Mathoura family, the McGraths, after the passing of Shirley McGrath at the weekend. Shirley’s husband, Dan, pre-deceased her several years ago.
Shirley is survived by her children, Maurice, Bernard and Christine and their families.
She will be laid to rest after a service in the Mathoura Church of England.

Welcome home to Lisa Froon after her recent stay in Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital.
Lisa went to the ‘Big Smoke’ for what was expected to be minor surgery but turned out to be a much longer stay. – not that she’s complaining.
However, the most concerning thing is that the extension caused her to miss the second birthday celebrations for the family’s triplets.
Still, we hope the surgery will enable her to be fit and well for many more celebrations to come.

Last Friday marked Women’s World Day of Prayer.
This year local celebrations to mark the occasion were held at St Brigid’s Catholic Church.
The event was followed by morning tea in the convent and a tour of the renovations that have brought the building back to life – not to mention the work in the garden.
