Edward River Council continued its quest to turn the town pink by organising a successful fundraising event to support breast cancer research on Tuesday.

Led by Mayor Peta Betts and Deputy Mayor Paul Fellows, councillors treated council staff to lunch.

Most came dressed in pink, and were joined by some members of the wider community in the courtyard adjacent the Deniliquin Town Hall.

The event was well attended and helped raise awareness about breast cancer among the local community.
