“The boys have been working very hard and are very excited,” Sztejman said.

The tournament will go for two days, with the Deniliquin team facing teams from Cobram, Keilor, Berwick and the Twelve Pairs Academy.

Giving the team a bit of a confidence boost, they were presented with their team uniforms and kits during Tuesday’s strategy meeting.

“This weekend is going to be such a good experience for the kids,” Sztejman said.

“We are used to playing against ourselves, so it will be fantastic to be a part of a higher level of game.“
