Playing at home, at Deniliquin’s Memorial Park, the visitors won the toss and chose to bat.
After 45 overs, Barooga set a run chase goal of 180 at the close of the first innings, losing six wickets.
In reply, Deniliquin could only manage 121 after 44.2 overs.
Captain Andrew Hogan and decisive Charlie Hillier were effective fielders keeping the score down.
But Barooga star Kale Watkins racked up 72 not out to bolster some lower scoring batters.
Charlie took the first wicket of the match when Will Lavery (2) was out lbw with the score, 1/6.
Just four runs later Charlie made his mark again, this time in the field. Daniel Ellis (3) was caught by Charlie off the bowling of Hogan.
Barooga then got a run on before Riley Gow (22) was caught by Dean Edge, with score on 3/47.
Edge also claimed the scalp of Will Sharp (23), but not before Barooga piled on the runs to have 92.
Another 44 were added to Barooga’s total before Justin Maley was caught by Edge off the bowling of Brad Todd with 15.
The remainder of the lineup failed to make a real mark on the match, with Jordan Anthony out for three, Daniel Johnston for six, Jonathon Oliver for five and Mitchell Richmann for just one.
Deni fared a little better at the start of their innings before the first wicket fell, with Todd racking up 13 before a Sharp bowl saw him caught by Ellis.
But the Rhinos failed to make any further improvement on the 1/13 score when Manny Virdi also fell victim to Ellis’ nimble hands, this time off the bowling of Watkins.
Boddie Arthur was next out for Deni, adding four to the total before being bowled by Watkins, the score now 3/29.
Charlie Hillier helped bring the score up to 54 before he succumbed to Ellis off the bowling of Watkins, with eight runs to his name.
Hogan, who top scored for Deni with 25, was the next wicket to fall being caught by Anthony off the bowling of Lavery.
The older Hillier brother, Harry, fell next with nine runs, the score now 6/74.
The Rhinos managed to get to 89 runs before losing their next two batters — Imran Cheema (15) and Mitch Jefferies (5).
Peter Wilson was then caught by Ellis off the bowling of Anthony, the Rhinos on 109/9, and with the rest of the innings firmly on the shoulders of young gun Lochie Holloway and Dean Edge.
Holloway remained not out on nine after an Ellis bowl saw Edge (11) caught by Maley.

The Deniliquin B grade side travelled to Nathalia on Saturday to expected poor weather and a struggle of a match.
But the Rhinos came away with a narrow win.
After a wash-out caused a draw for round one, the success was a bright start for the team.
Nathalia batted first for a low-scoring early innings, all out for 57 after just two balls in to the 31st over.
Wickets: Kai Hillier (4), Prem (3), Noah Bradley (2), and Jake Herberte (2).
The Rhinos replied with 61 runs in just 15 overs, with Greg Staynes top scoring with 24 and Dom Reid on 9.
This weekend, the B grade side will travel to the Finley Rec Reserve to take on the Cats, who narrowly defeated Tocumwal 130 runs to 128 at the weekend.
