Fun, fitness and road safety were the focus for the return of Edward Public School’s annual ride-a-thon on Wednesday.

Returning after a two year hiatus, children rode their bikes around the block.

Students, parents, grandparents, police and teachers enjoyed the day and the sunshine.

The Deniliquin High School’s Great Vic Bike Ride students also rode with the students as part of their training and were “wonderful role models for the younger children”.

Senior Constables Megan Mayo, Paul Pritchard and Natalija Jones conducted an informative session on road, bike and scooter safety before the event.
