Students were allowed to wear casual clothes on Friday, and were given a chance to demonstrate pride in belonging to the Edward School community.
Classrooms were open for parents and guests, providing an insight into the kids' lives at school and what they get up to.
The school put on a free sausage sizzle and there was an art show held in the Bradley Hall, displaying the beautiful pieces students created.
The school also used the week to recognise members of their community for their contributions.
Receiving one of the special Education Week awards was Louise Mace, who is an “invaluable school community member, who is committed and supportive to ensure that EPS students have the best opportunities”.
Classroom teacher Hannah Pollard was also recognised for being “committed to continuous improvement and is constantly striving to be a better teacher”.
Narelle Labib, who is the school’s Aboriginal education officer, also received an award.
She was recognised for supporting “all our students, including our Aboriginal identified students, and is passionate about equity for all’.
Two students, Sonny Reynolds and Jaxon Ives, were celebrated for their continued positive behaviour and citizenship.
Jaxon Ives also received an award for Education Week.
