Hot on the heel of two separate Variety Bash car rallies passing through the district in the past week, another will be arriving in Deniliquin tomorrow for a checkpoint stop.
Like the Queensland Variety Bash car rally which stopped in Deniliquin last Sunday night, the Endeavour Foundation’s Great Endeavour Rally will stay at the Deni Ute Muster site.
The Endeavour Foundation raises funds to create greater opportunities for people with disability.
Its Great Endeavour Rally is promoted as featuring one of the greatest and most inclusive motoring communities in Australia.
The week-long rally departed from Bathurst on Saturday, and will make its way to Bateman’s Bay by August 23.
There is expected to be 150 people participating in the rally, but the number of cars is still unknown.
Deni Ute Muster general manager Vicky Lowry said they are always happy to help support the charitable journeys that are keen to visit Deni.
“We do like to look at how we can support these kinds of events,” she said.
“The Deni Ute Muster is also not-for-profit, and we like to help where we can for similar organisations.
“The Ute Muster site’s quite iconic. It is a nice place to stay, and helps make their bashes an interesting experience.
“I think they like to take the back roads where they can and visit places like Deni.
“We also love to say ‘yes’ to these sorts of car rallies as their visits benefit the town.
“When they stop in to refuel, it generates a positive economic impact for the town, and by visiting our businesses and pubs it makes a big difference.”
The first of the Great Endeavour Rally cars are expected to arrive in Deniliquin from 3pm tomorrow.
