Families turn out in droves for trick or treating

Ghosts, ghouls, superheroes and even the odd princess took over the Deniliquin CBD on Monday afternoon as Halloween’s popularity continues to grow.

The starting point was the Deniliquin Mental Health Awareness Group’s ‘Mental health; It’s not as scary as you think’ family event in the Multi Arts Centre.

Inside, local service providers offered a range of activities, with the witch’s hat craft station and the cupcake decorating the most popular.

Outside the hall, Deniliquin Rotary provided a free sausage sizzle.

A map of trick or treat friendly locations - businesses and homes - was provided to all attendees, who were then left to seek out lollies on their own.
