Prohibited burn
From sharing good news to a community plea.
Our local firefighters have also asked us to remind local residents that burning of rubbish in the town limits is strictly prohibited.
It comes after the brigade was called to a backyard fire in Poictiers St, Deniliquin just before 1pm on Tuesday.
“We advised the resident there was to be no fire in the backyard, and the fire had to be extinguished,” Deputy Captain Les Booth said.
“All rubbish is to be taken to the Deniliquin Waste Depot.”

Jan’s entry was right inside the front door, and was one of more than 300 artworks on display over the weekend.
“What a fabulous weekend we had at the Deniliquin Easter Art Show,” the Edward River Art Society said.
“The Rotary Club of Deniliquin and Edward River Art Society want to thank all the artists, patrons, sponsors, volunteers and guests who made our thirty-first show one of our best yet.”
