Mrs Stevenson said it was the highlight of her year as president, which was still plagued by COVID-19 restrictions.
In handing over the presidency to Richard Fogarty last week, Mrs Stevenson reflected on her time at the helm.
“Once again COVID-19 has ensured a year of challenges, resulting in several of our regular activities being postponed or cancelled,” she said.
“But together we have faced these problems, and together have continued the Lions tradition of serving our community.
“While it’s been a year of ups and downs, one highlight was a celebration jointly held with Deniliquin Rotary Club to mark 130 years plus of combined service to our community – 60 years of Lions and 70 years of Rotary.
“I thank you all for your teamwork, because only teamwork can keep us moving forward.
“I know our incoming president, Lion Richard, will have your full support and is no stranger to the position of president.
“With Richard in the chair, we all look forward to a happy, productive year.”
Mrs Stevenson will remain on the Lions executive for the next 12 months, as first vice president and Lion Tamer.
Also supporting Mr Fogarty in his role will be treasurer Neil Buckley, secretary Janine Lawrence, second vice president Yvonne Harford, third vice president Jim Grant, tail twister Pat Fogary and directors Geoff Riley (one year) and Patrick Hogan (two year).
