Fond farewell for the Walmsleys

Warwick and Sandra Walmsley yesterday left Deniliquin for their new home in Forbes, where Sandra will head up the local Salvation Army.

Sandra has been with Deniliquin Salvation Army for five years, and was recently promoted from Captain to Major within the church.

Warwick was best known as a friendly driver with Purtills’ bus and coach division, recently taken over by Dysons.

Friends and colleagues of the couple gathered at the Deniliquin Golf Club to formally farewell the couple on Sunday.

Major Walmsley’s replacement at the Deniliquin Salvation Army is expected to start later this month.
