Having attempted to win the Ernie Beehag Memorial Trophy for each of the previous three years, he was thrilled to walk away with the win at the 2019 event on Saturday.
The title is presented annually to the local shearer with the most points in the speed shear competition.
Second in the local competition was Reagan Hamilton, with Angus Hardy third and Reef Wereta placing fourth.
Salan showcased his shearing talent on both days of competitions, claiming wins in his sections in both the Riverina Pro Quick Shear on Friday and the Riverina Shearing Championships on Saturday.
The shearing competitions pull a huge crowd to Memorial Park over the two show days, and also includes a competition for the wool handlers.
