To help you get your livestock nutrition and water quality on track, LLS is offering free testing through Local Land Services so ssix LLS regions - Riverina, Murray, Central Tablelands, Central West, South East, and Western.
“We’re offering pre-paid feed and water tests to help producers make informed decisions when it matters most,” the organisation said.
“Feed testing helps you plan accurate feed budgets, check nutritional value, and avoid wasting money on poor-quality products.
“Water testing ensures your stock stay healthy - especially important as quality can shift quickly in dry conditions.”
What’s included:
• feed tests covering pasture, hay, grain and silage;
• water tests for stock use (note: human consumption testing is not included); and,
• free testing – you only cover postage (or drop off at any Local Land Services office).
Pick up your test kits at your nearest Local Land Services office in the participating regions.
This program runs until December 2025 or until test stock runs out, so don’t delay.
Get your samples in as soon as possible to your local office.
“For producers managing through dry conditions, this is an easy win,” LLS said.
“Drop into your nearest Local Land Services office and collect your kit today.
“These tests are prioritised for drought-affected landholders.
