It will be held Sunday, September 7 at the Pretty Pine Recreation Reserve, from 10am to 4pm, with 40 market stalls already booked in and an array of food and drink options.
The day will feature many classic Father’s Day activities, as well as a few new additions set to wow the crowd.
Returning highlights include the ever popular rubber duck race and the dog high jump, with attendees invited to bring their dog for a chance at the title.
Dads also get a chance to show off their skills in the sheaf toss, footy in the wheelie bin competition, cross cut saw competition, and the tug of war.
Entertainment is covered with show vehicles on display, equestrian cutting club, musical performance from The Gents, the return of the popular roving magician and an all-day working dog puppy training display.
The local trainer will be taking up to eight dogs and will give them initial training across the duration of the day.
There is also plenty of extra excitement for the kids, with novelty races and a host of other fun.
And thanks to an Edward River Council Community Grant, the animal nursery and petting zoo, jumping castle and the famous Rotary train are all free this year.
The famous raffle and the spinning wheel also return.
First prize in the raffle is an M18 FUEL 10 piece power pack from AGSPARES, second is an Enpal Eclipse 381 Fridge Freezer donated by Nutrien, and third is a trial Introductory flight valued at $250 donated by Fly Riverina.
More activities are expected to be added to the schedule before Father’s Day.
Gate entry is $5 for adults and teenagers, while children under-13 enter for free.
Cash is best as there is no ATM on site, but most stallholders should be able to accept EFTPOS.
