Fun for all the family at Pretty Pine

The Pretty Pine Recreation Reserve will once again come alive on September 1 for the annual Father’s Day Market & Expo.

There will be plenty of activities and games for everyone, including a raffle where you can win dad (or yourself) a number of fantastic prizes.

The event will kick off at 10am and run through until 4pm.

Entry is $5 for those aged over 13, and pensioners need only pay a gold coin donation.

Children get in free, but make sure to get them a $5 wristband to access all the children’s rides and activities.

Last year’s event was a success for the Pretty Pine Recreation Reserve committee, with more than 3000 guests through the gate and raising funds for the Deniliquin Rescue Squad - VRA Rescue NSW.

This year, the funds raised will go toward the maintenance and general up keep of the recreation site and grounds.

To build on numbers, there will be a mix of old favourites and new events to enjoy.

There will be a whip cracking competition and tug of war competition, and a crowd favourite is sure to be the mullet competition.

There will be a huge variety of markets stall, as well as static displays, a bar and a tasty barbecue.

For the kids, there will face painting, jumping castle and a petting zoo.

A major raffle will be drawn on the day, with tickets available now for $5 each or $40 for a book of 10.

First prize is a 234 piece GearWrench 33333 limited edition, blue combination tool kit with 26“ tool chest and roller cabinet trolley. Valued at $1899, it has been donated by Ag Spares Deniliquin.

Second prize is an Engel MR40 38L fridge and freezer, valued at $1100 and donated by Nutrien Deniliquin.

Third prize is a wharf to winery cruise and lunch package on the Murray River at Echuca, valued at $250.

Tickets are available at the Pretty Pine Hotel, other local businesses and online at https://rafflelink.com.au/prettypine2024.
