GALLERY | Rochy does it for Dolly

Students at Rochester Primary School took part in a rotation of activities, with a focus on reflection, teamwork and fun.

All the while, they were wearing shades of blue, the favourite colour of Amy “Dolly” Everett, the Dolly’s Dream charity namesake.

A week later, tying in with St Joseph’s Primary School’s wellbeing week, the campus transformed into a sea of blue on Friday, May 16.

Year 5 and 6 students took the lead, facilitating activities like face and nail painting, footy, hairspraying and a photo booth.

Dolly’s Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett after they lost their 14-year-old daughter Dolly to suicide after she suffered constant bullying.

Each year, schools, groups and individuals fundraise on Do It For Dolly Day by wearing blue and promoting anti-bullying strategies.
