More than 70 excited girls attended the 'I'm a Girl I can do anything come n try' basketball skills session at the Deniliquin Basketball Stadium on Wednesday.

The sessions were free and were hosted by Basketball NSW regional development officer Riverina Isabel Forbes in collaboration with the Deni Giants.

The girls participated in drills with music in the background adding that extra pep in their step as they gained confidence and new skills.

Each participant received a pink t-shirt and a mini basketball for taking part in the event hoping to encourage the girls to take up or keep playing the sport.
