The Deniliquin Domestic Violence Liaison Committee (DVLC) was honoured to host Michael Jeh from the Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation at the Deniliquin Town Hall last week, for a powerful presentation of Hannah’s Story.

The foundation was formed after Hannah Clarke and her three children were murdered in 2020 by her estranged husband, Rowan Baxter.
Her case exposed critical failures in Australia’s legal and support systems for victims of non-physical abuse.
Around 100 community members attended the evening, hearing Hannah’s heartbreaking yet inspirational story.
DVLC Committee member Anna Suckling said it was an opportunity to raise vital awareness about domestic violence and coercive control.
“I would like to sincerely thank Michael Jeh for sharing Hannah’s story, as well as the committee members for their efforts in bringing this important event to Deniliquin,” Mrs Suckling said.
“Gratitude is also extended to the Rotary Club of Deniliquin, who generously donated supper, and to Hume Riverina Legal Services who kindly covered the hall hire.
“These contributions ensured the event was free and accessible for all.”
