The Proten Cup regular season has wrapped up, with the Barellan Rams having their best season to date.

The club managed to secure two minor premierships, in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
In the first season back in the game, the Deniliquin Blue Heelers fought valiantly but bowed out of finals with a bottom of the ladder finish.
Deni was unable to post a win for the season, but still finished the year with two points.
Goolgowi and Hillston also missed out on finals.
Rounding out the top four of the men’s competition after Barellan were Ivanhoe, Rankins Springs and Narrandera.
In their final game of the season against the minor premiers, the Deniliquin needed some fill-ins to make a side, with the season taking a toll on their players.
Barellan took a while to get going, but shifted gears quickly once they got their first try.
After a 24-0 half-time lead, the game was over before full-time when the Rams reached 60.
Noah Forbutt scored three tries and nine goals, with 50-gamer Reece Wilson kicking the last one.
Final score: Deniliquin 0 def by Barellan 60.
In the other men's games: Ivanhoe 26 def Hillston 10, and Narrandera 42 def Rankins Springs 22.
In the women's matches; Barellan 30 def Rankins Springs 0, and Ivanhoe 18 def Hillston 4.
Barellan have won the right to host the first week of finals.
In the women's semi-finals, Rankins Springs take on Hillston, with Hillston replacing Goolgowi due to low numbers, and Barellan will take on Ivanhoe.
The men's semi-finals will feature Rankins Springs vs Narrandera, and Barellan vs Ivanhoe.
