Walking inside ‘The Shed’ at 70 Napier St, Deniliquin, you immediately feel a luxurious Hamptons vibe.
As soon as you enter through the large barn style door with metallic fixtures you’re in a world of divine homewares and a Christmas range for every taste.
This Christmas, owner Sharon Ferguson said trending decorations are Australian native themed, rusty autumn tones and black and white check.
There’s also a range of crystals and sterling sliver jewellery, and soon to be added is an on site coffee van that will service a cafe area and a nursery boasting both indoor and outdoor plants.
And if the feedback from Saturday’s soft opening in anything to go by, the community is ready to shop.
“It was a really busy opening, and we have had a massive response since then including out of town visitors,” Sharon said.
The store was a family affair from concept to completion in all aspects of the build.
The building was owned by Sharon’s late partner David Tyndall and was his most worldly possession.
He gifted the building to her, and it is named ‘The Shed’ in his honour.
Sharon’s son Cailin Mackey is the architect behind the stunning design of the shop, and Sharon’s husband Brett Parmley has done a “mountain of work” to help get the store open.
And Sharon said they’re just a few of the people who have helped bring her dream to fruition.
“There are many talented men in this town,” she said.
The store will be open weekdays from 9.30am to 5.30pm and Saturdays from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
Extended trading hours will be available over the Christmas period.
