Rodeo showcase
Deniliquin Rodeo ticket holders were treated to a swag of action outside the normal rodeo competitions on Saturday night.
The twilight event started with an inspiring demonstrations from the Conargo Whipcrackers - siblings Jesse, Brooke and Beau - who commanded the attention of the area spectators before the bull, broncos and steers were placed in the gates.
At half time the cowboys and cowgirls got the chance to revive themselves for the later part of the evening when four knights from Marisma Equine Entertainment took to the arena.
The jousting demonstration enthralled, and the younger spectators were so impressed they hung over the fence for their chance to high five one of the knights as they completed laps of the arena.
The Easter bunny even made an appearance on sunset, throwing out Easter eggs and lollies in to the crowd.
Hats and other merchandise were also being scattered throughout the crowd - one of the biggest the event has seen.
Descent into winter
The dewy mornings and the cooler evenings are a tell tale sign that winter edges ever closer.
Thankfully we’re still being blessed with some warm days, however some have been a little stifling of late.
Milder temperatures in the early to mid-20s are predicted all this week, but with it slight chances of rainfall.
The other warning sign that winter is on its way is the end of Daylight Savings this weekend.
Clocks will go back an hour from 3am this Sunday.
Set your reminders now so you don’t forget.
