Blighty Public School is hosting its Winter Hoedown this afternoon, and the whole community is invited for a fun and memorable time.
Hold tight - we’re checking permissions before loading more content
The fun starts at 4pm at the school, on Blighty School Rd.
While Tex the Bucking Bull can no longer make an appearance, there is set to be plenty of old-fashioned games, face painting, line dancing, wood auction raffles and food available.
There’s a chance to toast marshmallows around a fire pit, and to enjoy a performance by the Blighty Public School students.
Entry this afternoon is $10 per person for those 12 years-old and older, and kids under 12 get in free.
A family ticket is also available for $50.
Watercolour pop-up
Edward River Art Society will host a watercolour workshop this weekend, and there may still be time for you to take part.
At the time of going to print yesterday, only a few tickets were left.
In the two-day workshop, artists will extend their knowledge of watercolour techniques and refine their painting skills, with guidance and support from artist Elaine Camlin.
There will also be a pop-up shop.
For more information, visit the Edward River Art Society website or Facebook page.
